Maureen McCormick: Brady Lesbian?

Rumors are abound that former Brady Bunch star, Maureen McCormick messed around with co-star Eve Plumb during their stint on the famous sitcom. Perez Hilton mentioned the Brady scandal on his website perezhilton.com as early as last Thursday, but now the buzz is currently picking up steam as it circulates around the Internet.

According to Yahoo! Buzz searches on McCormick are up nearly 500% and the search for "Brady Lesbian" is through the roof. I suspect that this little tidbit might've been leaked by someone affiliated with McCormick in order to create a buzz for the star with her book coming out at the beginning of 2008. I mean, she did do VH1's Celebrity Fit Club. How desperate are you to be on television Marcia? (McCormick actually lost 34 pounds and was declared the winner of the show - Wikipedia).

All that said, the rumor has been denied by her publisher, and the rep stated that it was just a wild Internet rumor. Whether it was a ploy for publicity or not interest (in terms of searches) have not gone up for her book, but rather other imaginative "lesbian" affiliated searches.

McCormick's book, "Here's the Story," is supposed to chronicle the life of the child actress as well as little exposed information on her personal life including bout with drug addictions, depression and her eating disorder (which was mentioned on her Celebrity Fit Club stint).

The story, which is supposed to act as a cautionary wake up tale for today's fast-paced youth, could invariably lose credibility if truth of the rumor surfaced. Then again it could create even more buzz and be another life lesson, 'experiment with other women', I am not opposed I promise.

Despite the wholesomeness portrayed on the sitcom, viewers who ventured behind the scenes have already concluded that what went on behind the scenes was relatively scandalous. Barry Williams (Greg Brady) announced his own autobiography (1992) that he had relations with both his on-screen mom Florence Henderson and McCormick.
