Kelly Clarkson Visits Australia, Gears Up for New Music Video "Don't Waste Your Time"

Superstar Kelly Clarkson has ventured her way to Australia this week to promote her 3rd record My December. In its first week of release, it went Gold in Aussieland and is currently moving on to its second single "One Minute." "One Minute" which is currently No. 14 on the airplay chart.

While Kelly is down under, she will make her appearances on shows such as Yahoo and Coca Cola's "Live 'N Local Up Close. The shows audiences have exceeded the Australian MTV Awards and is the highest-rated TV music program in the land of kangaroos. Local singer Rogue Traders and Clarkson will perform at least two songs each at the Plaza for Sunrise. Sunrise is a morning show in Australia similar to the U.S.'s Good Morning America. She will also perform a sold out show for fans at the Palais tomorrow.

"It'll be the first show of this tour," Kelly told Herald Sun. "We haven't even done a show in the US yet, so we go straight from here to America."

One of the most exciting appearances Clarkson will make will be on the AFL Footy Show Grand Finale in front of 13,000 people. Ironically, the Australian Idol contestants have been axed from this performance. Clarkson is rooting for Geelong to win the finale, which hasn't happened in 44 years.

"I sang for the World Series back home, the Boston Red Sox were playing and they hadn't won forever and they ended up winning that year. I hope I'm good luck."

According to TV Tonight and Australian Idol, the former Idol will make an appearance on Australian Idol where she will perform "Never Again" during an acoustic themed week. The last time she was offered Australian Idol during her trip in 2005, she turned it down with the advice of her then management team The Firm to focus on her own credibility. Now that she has made an artistic name for herself, she is going back to her roots to chat with the contestants and show them just how a real career has been made of the Idol franchise. Clarkson is to date the only international Idol superstar.

Kelly will return to Oz in March to do a six-date tour.
