The Flags for Veterans' Graves Program is a non-profit Louisville, Kentucky, program that honors deceased veterans by raising money to purchase U.S. flags, which are placed on veterans' gravestwice a year (May and November). In addition it also wants to raise awareness of the U.S. flag and to promote it.

The program is funded by private donations to meet its operating expenses. Any additional money it has left over is pooled with money raised across the USA to expand the Permanent U.S. Flag Fund for veterans' graves, and to support the educational outreach program of Adoptaflag.org.

A donation of $25 funds purchases eight grave flags, while $50 purchases twenty grave flags, $100 purchases forty-four grave flags, $200 purchases one hundred grave flags, and $500 purchases three hundred grave flags. Your donations to The Flags for Veterans' Graves Program is tax deductible, and you will be rewarded by having your name listed on adoptaflag.org's Donor Honor Roll, with the option to have your donation being given in honor of a living or deceased friend or family member who has served in the military. Corporate sponsors of the flag for veteran's programs are adoptaflag.org, Merrill Lynch, Texas Roadhouse, United Parcel Service, and WAVE 3 NBC TV.

To help fund flags for Veterans' Day The Flags for Veterans Graves Program is sponsoring The Cave Hill Flag Run on Saturday, November 10, 2007, which begins at 9 AM. The run will feature two courses, a four-mile run/walk or a two-mile walk. The registration fee is $25 for adults and $15 for children twelve and under. Participants who register by November 2 will also receive a Flags for Veterans' T-shirt. All participants will receive free food and beverages, with awards in top categories, and random prize drawings for all participants.
