The Pentax WP II Binoculars is perfectly suited to viewing distant objects in extreme weather conditions due to its sophisticated and advanced features. It is ideal for bird watching, wildlife watching, viewing sporting events as well as for astronomical purposes. Being equipped with 50 mm objective lenses, this set of binoculars enables me to view distant objects even in insufficient light. This is primarily due to the fabulous light-gathering capability of the lenses. The multi-coated optics of this pair absolutely eliminates the dangerous and harmful ultraviolet rays while simultaneously maximizing light transmission.

The waterproof housing of the Pentax PCF WP II Binoculars enables me to use them even in wet weather conditions. They are also capable of surviving getting completely soaked or immersed in water as it happened when I went on a boat ride. This is mainly due to its nitrogen-filled construction which is completely water-shielded. Even in prolonged foggy conditions all I have to do is wipe it clean and it resumes its optimum performance. Apart from this, the internal focusing and the tight sealing have made it water resistant up to one meter and is not the least affected when it accidentally falls into mud puddles or salt water.

The rubber covering provides protection to the porro prism as well as the other optical and mechanical systems by absorbing the impact of any kind of accidental fall. The aluminum die-cast body lends a great deal of durability as well as sturdiness to the binoculars. Pentax offers the rare blend of durability and affordability in its PCF WP II series. I have tried using these binoculars even with my glasses on and have not felt the slightest bit of hindrance in watching birds soaring at great heights in the sky.
