Top-Model Gets Bitchy...Again!

I often wonder if the producers of the show look for at least three girls who will be the 'house bitches' and another one awkward girl that will be the victim that the other girls can't wait to verbally attack on camera but behind her back.

This week's photo shoot had the girls showing the glamorous and not-so glamorous life of smoking. It is the same story as with all the other photo shoots, the competitive sides of the girls comes front and center and the cat-fight ensures. This one was between Bianca and Lisa; one bringing up the other's past as an exotic dancer as a sure-fire reason for failure.

Heather seems to be the victim this season. A college student with a form of autism, is the blunt of the other girls cruel remarks because of her standoffish behavior and lack of social skills. What is funny about the whole thing is these girls have no tact or sensitivity towards other people feelings. They are blatantly talking about Heather while she is only a few feet away; fully aware of what is being said. I know it is a competition, but why do people on reality show seems to sign away their humanity and compassion along with their release forms.

Everything about these girls are being judged, so I can somewhat understand their need to judge each other. Half of them is clearly suffering from very low self-esteem, while the other half think too highly of themselves. Of all of them, the only one I feel even remotely sorry for is Heather. With her condition and personality, it took guts for her to not only pursue a career that will put her around tons of people constantly, but to also do it in front of millions on a reality show. I am almost pushing for her to prove a point to the other girls that are constantly talking behind her back.
