My younger daughter recently had a sleepover with her best friend, Katie. As most parents know, sleepovers are a time to relax the rules a bit on what's appropriate for a healthy snack and allow the kids to indulge a little bit. On a last minute snack run to Safeway, I spotted Cheetos Twisted Puffs on sale for $1.99 for an eight and a half ounce bag. Armed with he knowledge that all kids love artificial cheese flavored food, I knew this snack food would be a hit. Cheetos Twisted Puffs did not disappoint.

Cheetos Twisted Puffs are a fun snack for kids. Instead of the usual oblong shape of traditional cheese puffs, Cheetos Twisted Puffs are exactly that - a spiral, twisted cheese puff. Other than the shape, Cheetos Twisted Puffs do not differ from the regular cheese puffs. A satisfying crunch, artificial cheese flavor and an orange stain on your fingers that fights against the soap and water completes the experience.

Cheetos Twisted Puffs contains one hundred and sixty calories and ten grams of fat per serving. As stated earlier, this is not an every day snack, but one for special occasions such as sleepovers. The orange color makes Cheetos Twisted Puffs a perfect snack for your Halloween party. Besides the many calories and fat content, Cheetos Twisted Puffs also contains three hundred and fifty milligrams of sodium. In an effort to educate children on the proper amount of one serving, the back of the bag has large lettered instructions on what constitutes one serving. One serving of Cheetos Twisted Puffs is seven pieces. I defy you to show me one kid who can stop at seven Cheetos Twisted Puffs! On the positive side, Cheetos Twisted Puffs also provides four percent of the daily recommended intake of Vitamin E, two percent of Iron and two percent of Protein. Negligible amounts, for sure, but in the interest of a fair and balanced review must be noted.
