Tickets
Tickets are made of paper right? Not all tickets, I suppose, if you consider that most airlines don’t use paper tickets any longer. Your itinerary will be printed on paper though, so if you want to take your new spouse on a trip for your first anniversary, you’ve just found the perfect paper gift.
If you can’t afford a getaway for your first anniversary, there are plenty of other types of tickets you can buy. You can go to the movies, a concert, ballet, or the opera. Don’t forget about special events that may be taking place near the time of your first anniversary. Look for local fairs, plays, or even auto races or other sporting events.
Loveopoly
This is a personalized twist on the game of monopoly, and yes, the board is made of paper material. This game can be ordered and customized with pictures of you and your spouse, and the stops have a marriage-like theme.
Token Gifts
You can, if you look hard enough, find places to buy acres of land on the moon, a piece of the Pacific Ocean, or you can buy a star from the sky for your new spouse for your first anniversary. As romantic as this may seem, the certificate you receive is more of a novelty than it is a true form of ownership. I don’t believe at the present time you can really own any part of any of these three, but it’s a fun idea. These are sweet reminders that if we could, we would give them the moon, the stars, and apparently, a piece of the ocean.
