Fall TV Lifetime's "America's Psychic Challenge"
Does the gift of being a psychic actually exist? Or is it just some hoax? The hour long reality series looks to find answers. In every episode, four psychics are selected to participate in competitions where they have to give correct answers. If someone gets an answer correct, they are given a point. The criteria for being on the series is that they believe to have this special gift or have a career as a psychic. At the end of every episode, the two people who answered the most questions incorrect, must leave the show. They then bring in another two psychics to compete against the two that are still on the series.
"America's Psychic Challenge" is hosted by John Burke who has appeared in "CSI: Miami" as well as "Dirt". This reality series is produced by George Whitman, John Vidas ("Murder"), Ethan Cohan ("The Simple Life" and "Armed & Famous") and Jonathan Murray ("Road Rules" and "Keeping Up with the Kardashians").
Will "America's Psychic Challenge" have enough staying power to last this season? Let us look first at the lineup of this reality series. The Lifetime network will air this right before the successful show entitled "Lisa Williams: Life Among The Dead" which is also a reality series where you follow a British medium who speaks with the dead. I am sure that the Lifetime network was thrilled that the Lisa Williams show did well that they decided to look for another series of the same genre that would appeal to this audience.
