The Wild Garden Company was established in 2003 with the purpose of providing North American consumers with a healthy and vegetarian Mediterranean food product. Both products (The dip and the chips) are preservative free so you can trust that what you're serving is good for everyone. They are shelf stable which means they don't need to be refrigerated until they are opened. The products are also Kosher, Vegan friendly, and gluten free. Each serving only has 35 calories, 2 grams of fat and 4 grams of carbohydrates. Garbanzo beans are known for their cholesterol reducing effects, and the balancing effect they can have on people who are diabetic or have insulin intolerance.
For people that aren't familiar with hummus, it's a garbanzo bean-based dip that is usually prepared in a creamy consistency. Traditional hummus usually doesn't have many other ingredients other than lemon juice and a little bit of seasoning. If that sounds a little bland to you, Wild Garden offers so other great flavors including Sun-Dried Tomato with Olive Oil, Jalapeno, Roasted Garlic, Fire Roasted Red Pepper, Red Hot Chili Pepper, 2 Pepper, and Black Olive.
Each flavor is available in a 13.4 oz jar and the traditional flavor comes in single serve packets that are great to take on the go with you for a lunch or healthy snack. All of the flavors taste great with the Wild Garden Pita Chips, but hummus can also be used for dipping vegetables or bread and can even be used as a healthier alternative to mayonnaise on sandwiches.
