As with most FDA approved medications, the use of Lamisil Oral Granules may come with some side effects. When treating your child's ringworm, or tinea capitis, of the scalp the side effects most commonly seen are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache and some abdominal pain. However, with dosing as a once-per-day formula, taken for six weeks, these side effects do not outweigh the benefits of using Lamisil Oral Granules for treatment.

Prescription medications, of any kind, should be carefully considered in children who suffer from co morbid health complications. In children who suffer from complications associated with diabetes, respiratory complications and complications of kidney or liver, the use of Lamisil Oral Granules should be carefully considered.
