This coral will do great in an aquarium with the salinity level between 1.022 and 1.025. It will also well in a temperature which is between 72 and 76 degrees. You will want to have your heater set at about 73 degrees to make sure that the temperature doesn't fall to a dangerous level. You will also want to make sure that you keep your tank away from any sources of heat such as windows and heating vents. If you keep the salinity and temperature right you will have a better chance of keeping the coral alive.
This coral, like many other types of soft coral will require certain supplements added to the water. You will need to purchase iodine and trace elements. If you purchase other types of soft coral you can purchase the same supplements which will work for all of them. You will need to add the supplements to the water at least once every 3 weeks. One bottle of supplements will cost you around $6 and it will take you at least a couple of months to go through one bottle. You will usually have to add about one capful per 30 gallons.
The Pipe Organ Coral is very peaceful and you can keep it with all other types of coral. You will still want to keep it about two or three inches away from other corals to make sure that they all have enough room to grow. You won't want to place all of your coral on top of eachother and then none of it will grow because there's not enough room in the aquarium. The Pipe Organ Coral can reach past 6 inches wide. You can purchase a small piece of coral for around twenty five dollars.
