As new toxins constantly enter into our personal and global environments, detoxification is perpetually infinite process. My personal detoxification began slowly, with the deliberate elimination (or at the very least, limited personal exposure with toxic persons) of the toxic relationships in my life, followed by the removal of various toxins from my living space, and finally, the constant striving towards the achievemnent of maintaining regular total body detoxification. While I realize it is impossible to completely be toxin free, I can at least do my best to strive towards a less toxic lifestyle.

Removing toxic people from your life is essential for maintaining overall physical health, as mental and emotional stressors take serious tolls on our bodies. If the toxic person cannot be completely abandoned (immediate family member, etc.) then at least limit the amount of contact you have with this person and condition yourself to react emotionally maturely and appropriately to their various patterns of dysfunction. By avoiding your exposure to toxic people, you can avoid the perpetual cycles of guilt, emotional manipulation, verbal abuse, and the myriad of other manic behaviors committed by toxic people. By removing yourself from the toxic situation, you will immediately feel better both mentally and physically. Strive to continually replace toxic relationships with ones that are nurturing and supportive.
