Another week and another 10-6 record. That's two weeks in a row of a good but not great week of predictions made by yours truly. I'm still going to blame it on the fact that I was making the picks while watching the Mets play. I'm still not writing about the Mets yet. I just can't do it without wanting to throw things out the window. Before I begin I'd like to thank everybody who wished me a happy birthday last week. You're all too kind. Now let's see if I can improve on my record.

Houston at Atlanta

Watching the Falcons play football right now is like watching the Mets play baseball. Sure, there may be a glimmer of hope for about a second. That's about it, though. Meanwhile, the Texans are without a doubt a much improved team. I'm going to like them this season whenever they're playing in a dome even if it's on the road.

Winner: Houston

Buffalo at New York J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets

Buffalo is an injured team right now in every sense of the word. The Jets aren't necessarily playing great football themselves. The fact remains that, right now, the Jets are by far the more talented football team.

Winner: J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets

Baltimore at Cleveland

Ok. My strategy of picking against Cleveland didn't help them last week. It came dangerously close though. Stupid Raiders and their timeout. Baltimore doesn't look great at all so far and I've been disappointed with how they've played. I think Cleveland has a real shot in this one. Really. I do.

Winner: Cleveland

St. Louis at Dallas

Sure, St. Louis is 0-3, but now they'll be playing without their best player on the road against an undefeated team! How can't you like the Rams?

Winner: Dallas

Chicago at Detroit

Sorry, Rex. It had to be done. One has to wonder if Detroit's performance last week was proof of how good (or bad) the Lions actually are or if it was just a great effort by the E-A-G-L-E-S Eagles. I like Chicago in a close one here due to the change at quarterback.

Winner: Chicago

Oakland at Miami

Thanks to living in the NY/NJ area I won't have to watch this disgrace of a football game. What's that? I'll be out at a bar watching the Browns and therefore this game will on one of the TVs? Noooooooo.

Yep, I'm putting my (proverbial) money with your picks here, Zac. I'm still a bit uneasy with the 49er's over Seattle - old habits die hard!
