If you are a musician and have not heard of Berklee College of Music, you are about to be schooled! Berklee is the most popular and largest indie school that studies modern music. Some famous people who have went to Berklee are: Quincy Jones, producer/arranger, The leading man of Steely Dan, Donald Fagan, Melissa Etheridge, singer songwriter, composer/jazz saxophonist Branford Marsalis, and many, many more.
The Music Production and Engineering Major at Berklee will teach you how to master making professional recordings through various projects. You will learn all the techniques and will basically go through the regular routines that engineers and producers go through. Admission is based on your skills, your previous college courses and aptitude. Some courses you can expect to take are: Critical Listening Lab, Business of Music Production, Multitrack Recording Techniques and MIDI systems for Music Production. You can receive a degree or a diploma. The cost is $2,950 each semester for both programs.
