Republican Hypocrisy on Moral Values

A lot of Republicans in America claim that they are the party that stands with the "moral majority," which was a coalition started by the former ultra-right wing reverend Jerry Falwell. Jerry Falwell started the "moral majority" back in the 1980s when he felt that America had began to shift to the left after the ruling on Roe V Wade, which made abortion legal in our country. Falwell was of course a very strong opponent of abortion rights and a woman's right to choose. So he worked very hard to make sure that Roe V Wade would be overturned in this country. But the "moral majority" met so much more than overturning Roe V Wade. For example, the "moral majority" had been the strictest coalition that America has ever seen because it was against gay marriage, prostitution, sex before marriage, profanity, and even inappropriate sexual talk. Jerry Falwell and the "moral majority" was against all of that stuff and the Republicans have aligned themselves with this coalition and this coalition has been a major help to many of the GOP's campaigns.

At the same time, take a look at how Americans seem to live. Americans tend to live like pigs by an overwhelming majority because you barely see someone in society who even shows the qualities of what Falwell wanted. Sure, some might be against abortion. However, they still talk about pimping, whores, prostitutes, and they still use the "f" word in every sentence as well as other sexual talk and having sex before marriage. Those were all things that the "moral majority" was against and remember, the Republicans all believe in the "moral majority" doctrine. If that is the case, I would say at least 60-65% of the population should be Democrat because the Democratic Party has not been in alliance with the "moral majority." So I often wonder why the Democratic Party is not winning every single time it is election time for the presidency or the mid-terms.

Takeaways
  • Focus on why the Republicans are hypocritical

Dearest Stephanie, I assume your comment "Maybe one of us should right an article defining Opinion/Commentary. Apparently, some people don't know what that means." is directed at me because I have told the author his opinion is incorrect?????????? THAT IS THE POINT OF THE COMMENT SECTION! WTF is your problem? Don't like people disagreeing? Why don't you just suck my ass 'til my head caves in, how 'bout that, you moron?

Don't worry Martin, since everyone hates my article and thinks I am such a dumbass, then I won't write this anymore. So thanks to all of you who hate my article for crushing my spirit and breaking me into a million pieces. So don't worry, I'll just write fucking articles on the Billboard Hot fucking 100 and the #1 hits there was on there since my work is sooooooooooooooooo horrible.

Mr. Bracken, after reading your "article" I was a little disappointed. It was merely an extended blog-rant on how immoral the elected Republican leaders of our nation are. You provided no proof to your point that the Democrats are any better other than to not mention any of the numerous scandals in which they are involved. I found your opinion and train of thought to be underdeveloped and immature. I suggest you do a bit more reading before you continue your writing. Best of luck to you.

And by the way, if you all hate this article so much, then why the fuck do you post any comments? Is it just to cut my work that I attempt down? Is that the goal from all of you?

Jim, you are mean to me and trash my article and yet, you think that I am going to read yours? I'm not going to contribute to nothing. And Stephanie, I will continue to fight and make my points known. I want to express how I feel, not be silenced.

Sean, you should give it up. There is no way you will ever get a right-winger to agree with you. I had a classmate in college who had the same attitude as these guys. I had to laugh when I read "That is not to say there are not evangelicals within the Party cause they do exist..." our commander in chief is one of them. Maybe one of us should right an article defining Opinion/Commentary. Apparently, some people don't know what that means.

Furthermore, I refer you to my 2 very recent articles about Jeff Musall's fiction novella HERETICS, US: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/386188/heretics_us.html http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/384792/heretics_us.html These articles deal with the subject of Jeff's book, namely a neo-fascist Christian Right wing cabal that tries to take over first the US gov't, then extend to the rest of the world US hegemony. I highly suggest you get this book. Click on his producer page and it links to his book publisher. Jeff's fiction puts forth the same theory about which you wrote this article.

Sean, I'm sorry Dude, but the MM is dead as a doornail. Any hope they ever had to exert a steering of the Conservative movement has passed. That is not to say there are not evangelicals within the Party cause they do exist, but they don't have the power you think they do. Conservatism is far more about free market economy and small gov't principles, FROM WHICH WE HAVE STRAYED, and the Party has been hurt by this. We are about preserving traditional American ideals, including the Christian principles on which the US was founded, but only as GUIDING principle. I am certain that when it comes to typical US citizen's beliefs' the most firm of all our principles are the freedom of worship and belief, or to freely not worship or believe. The rest is just your Lib imagination.

This thing wouldn't let me finish, so let me finish by saying that your party has also done a good job of trying to hush up Mark Foley. So your party has kept Craig in there, Vitter in there, and also has hushed up Foley and the only reason we know about Foley is because of the fact of Brian Ross's report on ABC. Sure, the Dems do it, but to think the Republicans don't do it is a lie. Stop spitting GOP talking points out and drinking the Koolaid. The Koolaid sucks.

I am now going to respond to Jim Clayton and his comments he directed at me. The moral majority is still a powerful force in your good old Republican Party that you claim is so wonderful. But the moral majority exists. Why in the hell do you think the Republicans were all kissing Falwell's ass for their movement to vote for them? Why do you think McCain all of a sudden set aside his differences and went to Falwell if his coalition is a shell of what it once was? So don't give me that crap that the moral majority has no power anymore because it has a lot of power. Sure, this might be an extreme article but guess what man? You are as extreme as I am and think you need to shut the hell up because you don't know what the hell you are talking. I would also add that the Republicans haven't done nothing with Larry Craig so far. They are letting him come back to Congress. Wow! What leadership that is from your pack of right wing hacks! I also would add that your party has kept Vitter in and we

Sean Bracken if republican = moral majority then as a any mathematitian will tell you that Sean Bracken = dumbass minority. I sincerely hope that you wrote this under a pseudonym. Conversely, if you attended special classes in local public school, good article. I commend your research and kudos on the number of words. Unfortunately it appears that this article was meant to be serious--wait--is this a prank! You almost got me! You rascal you.
