Would you ever sell your very being for victory? Well that's the story of Kratos from the mega hit God of War. In God of War you play a battle hardened Spartan who is tired of his inner demons haunting him and the only way to stop them is to kill Ares, the Greek god of war. Now killing a god isn't as easy as killing a cockroach; the only way to do that is to use the Box of Pandora (an ancient box of unimaginable power) which is locked away in this Greek mythology drenched game. The first thing you end up finding out about this game is that it is not for youngsters because of the intense violence, gore, and nudity. The game also has a sex mini game in the beginning which is button timed, but don't expect to see anything during that time because the camera pans to a vase that has to be knocked off in order to win.

Gameplay in videogames is one of the most important things that determines if gamers will be playing it for five minutes or five months. God of War is one of those games that does not disappoint when it comes to fast and furious gameplay. Like most action/adventure/platforming games, God of War has the standard jump, fast attack, strong attack, grab, evade, magic, and special buttons. But the thing about this game that sets it apart from the rest of the pack is that you can change mid-combo or mid-air attacks on the fly. When facing an enemy they can be killed by the normal button mashing way or they can be finished off by the button timed mini game which gives this one a slight advantage over other games of this ilk. Also the game features a hefty dose of clever and ingenious puzzle solving.

Another thing about this game is that it is just brutal what can be done to the baddies in this game. One moment you can be attacking an enemy and the next you can be ripping its head off with a mini-game. The game play lets you unleash your inner twisted self in a very satisfying way.
