Faith believes that she has found her soul mate in Rage. She believes in true love and her own happiness for the very first time in her life, while allowing the radiant sunlight to dance across her face. What she refuses to acknowledge, however, is the truth. It is not her current bedfellow, but it will ultimately set her free.

She faces the audience, whilst looks up toward the stage lights. She is lost in her own thoughts, her own world; and in the blink of an eye, another day has begrudgingly passed her by.

The clock strikes twelve, and the moon is in hiding behind a formidable and dormant cloud. Faith is wearing a tight fitting black dress with black heals. Her lips are redder than the rose bud that lays waste upon the table sitting across the room, and fear dwells deep within the mirrors of her own soul. (The table is quickly removed from the stage.)

Faith makes her way to meet Rage at “Eternity”, a popular downtown nightclub. Fog (dry ice) fills the air and makes it difficult for her to see anything that lies directly in front of her. The wind howls with the wrath of God, and Faith hurries in desperation to find her way to the door. She stumbles through the club entrance, and experiences a great deal of difficulty in closing the door behind her.

The bouncer checks her identification. He sees that she is under age. She assures him that she’s not there to drink. She merely wants to spend some time with the one she loves. The bouncer gazes into her eyes for a moment and places the ID into the palm of her hand. She grasps it and raises it to her heart. Then she lends a smile to her lips, as the bouncer motions to let her by.

Techno music emerges from about the stage, and people begin to dance from all around. (The stage is actually empty. The audience can only see silhouettes dancing along the back wall, to the left and to the right of the stage.) Their voices echo from one end of the stage to the other, but Faith’s heartbeat hesitantly manages to drown them out.
