This report is store specific, and, is written as a result of a produce purchase.

If you have a Save-A-Lot store in your area, I would recommend that you try their produce. They have a lot of different fruits and vegetables, and, we have always been very pleased with the fruit and vegetables that we have bought from them.

I am a big fruit eater. I do it because I love fruit and also, at my age, eating fruit is good for me. I love bananas, apples, oranges, raisins, cantelope, or, as my grandparents used to say, "mush melon", watermelon, peaches, grapes, and pears to name a few. Oh, I almost forgot; I love pineapple and grapefruit too. So, when a store offers a good selection of fruit, and, it is fresh, I am a happy camper.

Recently I made a purchase. I was hungry for some grapes. I usually buy the red seedless type. So I went to our Save-A-Lot store. One of the nice things about purchasing your fruit there is that you don't have to worry about "sneaking" a taste to see if the food is good; it always is. The grapes looked so good we bought the largest bag we could find. The grapes were going for $2.00 per pound. I could almost see those grapes in a bowl of Jell-O.

Then I noticed the green grapes. They were going for $2.34 per pound. However, I have never seen such large grapes in my life. So, I bought the biggest bag of those as well. That's right; my wife and I bought both kinds of grapes and that was two days ago. They are currently gone.

I couldn't stop eating those grapes. I had them for breakfast. I ate them with lunch and I had them for supper the last two nights; in fact. I ate a bunch while I was typing a few articles.

Now I don't know if $2.00 to $2.34 per pound for grapes is a lot of money or not. You will have to determine what you are willing to pay. What I did want to say is two things. If you live in an area that has a Save-A-Lot store, you may want to take advantage of the great availability of this great produce.

Next, if you are not in an area that supports one of theses fine stores; perhaps this is a good time of year for grapes.

You may want to take some time to see what the fruit looks like in your area.
