Well folks, we can officially start the Bud Selig countdown with the end of the baseball season approaching. Bud has exactly 2 years left before he rides off on his pillow to retirement land and writes his tell-all book. With that in mind, Bud can start to cut loose from the strings that make him an owner puppet and start to make his mark on the game beyond attendance. With that in mind, I was able to acquire, through a "reliable source", a copy of Bud's to-do list in order to secure his legacy.

.) Write a to-do list.

.) Take a nap, writing a to-do list is exhausting and you will have forgotten who you are by the end of it all.

.) Take a stance against PED's. I can no longer try to tread water between doing what's right for the game and that'll keep my butt and that of the owners out of a sling. Stop dodging the question and actually do something about it by enacting a test for Human Growth Hormone and maintaining research to stay ahead of the users.

.) Get rid of the "This Year it Counts" crap and make the All-Star game an exhibition again. The fans vote for the players in order to make it entertaining, why take that away from them by putting pressure on the manager and the players to win.

.) Try to explain to the fans why again that the Brewers were moved to the National League in order to even the leagues out, when the NL has 16 teams and the AL 14, not to mention the Brewers play in a division with five other teams.

.) Return some advantage back to the pitchers in order to even out the playing field. Raise the mound back to its original height and stop holding umpires accountable for their strike zone. Part of the scouting process in baseball used to be knowing the umpires you were working with and that facet has been taken away by computer monitoring of the strike zone and umpires who are instructed to not let a pitcher throw inside to establish the plate.

.) Take another nap. Costanza had it right with the whole sleeping under the desk thing. At least here I don't have to come to terms with the fact that I allowed the players and owners to orchestrate a labor agreement that will send both salaries and ticket prices soaring in the coming years.
