In addition to the NES, Nintendo 64, Sega Genesis, Super Nintendo and TurboGrafx-16, the MSX, Neo Geo and TurboGrafx-CD will be making their way to Nintendo Wii's Virtual Console. These three systems have only been confirmed in Japan; but it's quite likely they will be made availble worldwide in the near future. Here's a brief rundown of what each of the three systems have to offer.

MSX
Released in 1983, the MSX was an attempt to create standardized personal computer architecture. The system was popular in all places not named the U.S. Throughout its lifespan the MSX had refinements; as a result, a total of four different MSXs were released to the public: MSX 1, MSX 2, MSX2+ and MSX turbo R. The MSX line was discontinued in 1995. A total of 200 games were released for the MSX before the system's demise. They include Bubble Bobble, Contra, Final Fantasy, Gradius I & II, Metal Gear series, Puyo Puyo, R-type, Snatcher, Xevious and Ys series. The MSX games for Nintendo Wii's Virtual Console are expected to cost 700 Wii Points.

Neo Geo
Release in 1990, the Neo Geo was the most expensive console of its time (and maybe the most expensive console ever made). Launching for a hefty price of $649.99, the Neo Geo was the home equivalent of an advance arcade board. Even the games are expensive as they cost at least $200 each. Because of the high price tag, the Neo Geo never quite caught on with the public. Neo Geo has some excellent games during its lifetime such as Double Dragon, Fatal Fury series, The King of Fighters series, The Last Blade series, the Metal Slug series, and the Samurai Showdown Series. The Neo Geo games for Nintendo Wii's Virtual Console are expected to cost 900 Wii Points; a bargain compared to the $200 price tag for the Neo Geo cartridges.
