What Do China, VAT, Pansyr Air Defense, North American Union and the Pacific Gateway All Have in Common?

When is the last time you heard anything in depth, on Israel and Syria? How about the Pantsyr air defense system that Russia sold Damascus?

Something as big as the North American Union should surely be on everyone's lips. Have you heard any of the big four news channels talking about it?

What do you know about VAT? Vat stands for Value Added Tax. It goes hand in hand with Free Trade. When is it that the news reported on either of these and how it may or may not affect Americans way of life?

Have you heard of the Pacific Gateway? Or how it may affect not only the longshoremen of this country, but also the truckers?

Is China influencing business in the U.S.? Is China getting unfair trade breaks that hurt the U.S. companies?

Have you seen the latest statistics on crime committed by illegal immigrants in this country? No?

You may have heard about autism and that it strikes 1 out of 166 kids in this country. Have you heard of any in depth reporting on that number? Or of how this is epidemic proportions?

When's the last time you heard really great news reported on about alternative medicines and the ailments that they can cure. Or even the ailments that they can keep under control or prevent?

We've all heard the horror stories of the war in Iraq. But how many of the big four news outlets take time to report the good news that is going on in Iraq? Not very many nightly reports on that, are there?

Other than the "recalls" on tainted food, how much in-depth reporting is going on about the food you consume? Shouldn't people in this country be made aware of some of the dangers and/or risks that we are taking every time we go to the grocery store?

Medicine is always on the news. Touting the latest and the greatest cures in a pill. Of course, after people consume said pills and get more than a few side effects, are the stories reported on like they should be?

What is the news of the day? Brittany Spears, OJ Simpson, Barry Bonds, celebrity busts, etc.

It would seem that news shows have decided to be tabloid news shows versus hard hitting, life changing news shows.
