The Nightmare

Faster and Faster
Goes the heart in my chest
As I wait in the shadows
Clutching the gun close to my breast.

He's coming , He's coming
Goes the thoughts in my head
How many more rooms shall he search
Before one of us is dead

The stomping, The stomping
I can hear it down the hall
He's closer this time
And my skin starts to crawl

The breathing, The breathing
Its not coming from me
I so wish to be back home
But never shall I plea

He's here, He's here
This is more than I can bare
His form is so close
I can sense his ever present glare

It's time, It's time
So I lifted up my gun
Firing over and over
Before I could realize what I'd done

Wake up, Wake up
It's only just a dream
My reality coming in fast
Before my mind could tell me to scream

No more sleep for me!!
