Even with the Halloween themed events at Universal Studios and Disney World Orlando, there are plenty of other places to discover the ghouls and goblins for your Halloween celebration! Orlando is home to hundreds of attractions that spare no expense when it comes to Halloween revelry; each venue lights up with fireworks displays, parades, special performances, and an abundance of Halloween treats and feasts that put your average trick-or-treat run to shame. If you're in the mood for a few tales from the crypt, or simply a night of exploring Orlando's theme parks from a fresh perspective, here are some of the best ways to celebrate Halloween 2007 in Orlando:

Busch Gardens Howl-O-Scream Extravaganza: Just a short drive from Orlando and the major theme parks, Busch Gardens in Tampa is your spot to enjoy the Howl-O-Scream events. Here you'll find a series of thrill shows, haunted houses, and five 'scare zones' scattered across the park for a bone-chilling experience. Enjoy the usual lineup of rollercoasters and rides, but don't be surprised to find some ghouls and monsters accompanying you. Tickets can be purchased online.

Dinosaur World: Cork Knights of Screams 3 Halloween event: Dinosaur World features a special fundraiser each year, partnering up with Creepworks Studios for a nearly week long celebration of frightful proportions. The arena turns into a haunted house featuring a fun-fright kiddie zone, three dread zones, and three haunted attractions. You can explore everything on the grounds of Dinosaur World, and it takes place from October 26 through Halloween night. Call (813) 717-9865 for more information.

Harry P. Leu Gardens Halloween Story Night: If you're in the mood for a night of ghost stories and a bone-chilling experience, head to Harry P. Leu Gardens in downtown Orlando. This special presentation is created with the help of Project Imagination to feature an outdoor event of creepy stories and interesting tales. Food and snacks will be available for purchase, and takes place on only October 19 from 7:30-10 p.m. Call (407) 246-2620 for more information.
