Moles can destroy a lawn in no time if you don't take the proper measures. People take steps to fight moles in their yard every year. They can be very destructive and can tear up a nice looking lawn. There are several things you can try to rid your yard of these pesky creatures. One thing is buying moles traps. These traps are set over a recent mole track or mole hill in your yard. When the mole comes back through the track it will set the trap off and get the mole. This has been known as a good way to get rid of the moles in your yard. Another way is to buy mole pellets. These pellets are poison, you put them in the mole track and when a mole comes through the track and eats them it is fatal for the mole. They have also been known to work good but are fatal for other animals also, so if you have a pet do not use this product in your yard.

Some people just do it the old fashion way and sit in their yard waiting for the ground to move where the mole track is, but you have to have time and patience for this. You never know when the mole is coming back through the mole track. This way is very effective if you can catch the mole rooting around in the yard. Another thing to try is mixing one part of Castor oil and one part of water together and then a tablespoon of dish detergent and pouring it over the mole track in your yard. Moles do not like Castor oil and this has been said to run them out of the yard.
