A lot of people choose to keep coral in their saltwater tanks. Coral is a great way to add a little bit of color and decoration. Coral is not that hard to take care of if you have an established tank and you know what you are doing. You need to have a good saltwater light to keep any coral alive. The Yellow Finger Gorgonian is great type of coral that you can keep in your saltwater tank. It's one of the hardest soft corals to keep alive. If you are planning on keeping this coral you will want to make sure you have a good lighting system. This coral does not need a lot of light but you will want to place it near the top of your tank if your light isn't the best. This coral will also require a good amount of water movement. You can achieve this by placing a canister filter on your aquarium. The canister filter will have a power head which adjusts to shoot water on all of the coral in your fish tank. You can move the power head in the direction of where your coral is in your fish tank. If you have a good lighting system you can keep the coral on the bottom of your fish tank and save the room for hard corals. You will still want to make sure that your Yellow Finger is getting plenty of water movement. If you can't achieve this you can purchase a wavemaker which will produce a lot more water movement in a lot more directions.
The Yellow Finger Gorgonian is just one of many types of Gorgonians that you can choose from. This coral comes in white, red and yellow. The coral looks as if it has fingers that are very furry. The fingers can come in a variety of different colors. While the Yellow Finger is a type of soft coral it's not as easy to take care of as many types of soft coral. You will need to add a number of supplements to your fish tank. You will need to purchase about four different bottles of supplements which will cost you around $6 a piece.
