We have all had a cut on a finger and wanted to keep the cut dry. A bandage will keep dirt and grim off of a cut but it can get wet when we do certain things. As you go about your day it is so easy for that finger to get wet and cause the bandage and cut to get wet as well. A dry finger will heal faster and it is a good idea to keep your finger dry if you have a cut.

Some of the jobs we do each day require our hands to get wet. Doing dishes and keeping a clean kitchen is very hard to do with an injured finger. Bandages are great but they will not protect a cut from getting wet and if the cut gets wet bacteria and germs can get into the cut and grow possibly causing an infection to occur.

There is a simple way to keep your finger dry if it has a cut on it. You can take a balloon and put it over the finger with the cut. It is best to use a balloon that fits snuggly over the cut finger. A balloon that is too small will be too tight and cut off blood circulation in the finger and a balloon that is too large will not fit properly and it will let the finger get wet anyway. It is a good idea to have a bag of assorted sized balloons so you can pick out the balloon that fits the finger right.

When you use a balloon to protect a finger from getting wet it is a good idea to have a bandage on the cut before you put the balloon on the injured finger. A bandage will keep the cut clean and protect he injury from getting bumped. A balloon is very thin and will not protect the cut from a bump like a bandage will. So when you use a balloon to keep a finger cut from getting wet put a bandage on the cut first then put the balloon on over the bandage.

The next time you cut your finger and you need to take a bath or do the dishes cover the injured finger with a balloon to keep the injured finger dry. It is best to keep a cut clean and dry to help the cut to heal.
