With the fall movie season about to get into full swing, I wanted to share information on the hottest upcoming releases to the theater. So here is your own personal "sneak peek."

This fall is going to offer something for just about everyone. Fans of the Farrelly brothers will likely enjoy their latest oddball comedy entitled The Heartbreak Kid. Newly married Eddie Cantrow (played by funnyman Ben Stiller) thinks he has just married the girl of his dreams. But his beloved Miranda (played by Michele Monaghan) might not exactly be who she thought she was. Her drastically changed character leaves Eddie wondering what went wrong and when. Look for this film to hit the theaters on October 5th.

If Stiller isn't quite your cup of tea, you might try the romantic comedy, Lars and the Real Girl, starring Ryan Gosling. Having experienced very little luck in love, Lars tries the Internet and meets a doll that just might fit his needs. Or maybe it's another case of "too good to be true." This film is due to hit the theaters on October 12th.

Tyler Perry fans can also relax. He's back on October 12, this time with his hilarious new comedy - - Why Did I Get Married? This is a big screen rendition of his popular stage play by the same name. As its title implies, it deals with all of the trials and tribulations of marriage. What will the once happily married Perry do, however, when a sexy temptress (played by Janet Jackson) catches his eye?

Steve Carell fans will no doubt like his newest comedy about the trial and tribulations of family and internal relationships. Dan in Real Life also stars Julliette Binoche and Dane Cool. Look for this film to hit local movie theaters around October 26th.

Those who have been enjoying Hollywood's recent rash of family-oriented fantasy films will want to see The Seeker: The Dark is Rising. Here, a boy's life gets turned inside out when he learns a secret about himself. It turns out that he represents the last of a group of immortal warriors who were charged with fighting the forces of the dark. This magical film is due October 5th.

Takeaways
  • October kicks off the fall movie season.
  • Fall has something for everyone's movie preference.
  • Upcoming articles will share sneak peeks for November and December.

Even though it has seem to have generated bad reviews, I cannot wait to see Elizabeth! I love the history of England and the reigns. You left out Saw 4, which my husband is ecstatic about right now... :D

Excellent previews! I thoroughly enjoyed Michael Clayton, despite the overabundance of characters. The ending was thrilling and fulfilling, and the acting was absolutely top notch.
