Britney Spears Loses Custody of Kids
After an emergency hearing today, Kevin Federline is awarded sole physical custody of their children started Wednesday at noon until further notice.
The hearing was scheduled by Federline's attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan after Spears was found driving her kids around. Two weeks prior to she was caught driving without a license. Spears is reportedly an unlicensed driver in the state and authorities
believe her license was actually expired from her home state of Louisiana.
The weekend drive was more devastating to her case than the alleged drug use accused by former bodyguard. Federline is going for custody due to Spears unstable environment, in concern for his boys Sean Preston and Jayden James well-being. Recent events in news media and a handful of misdemeanors later, Britney has lost physical custody of both children.
Two weeks ago the child pop star was given two misdemeanors in court. One of those consisted of driving without a license in the state of California and the other was for a hit and run in which she caused property damage. Photographers saw it happen first hand and caught snapshots of it at a parking lot on August 6th.
Just last week before Spears was even caught driving without a license, Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon, who awarded K-Fed custody today, was in a closed door meeting with K-Fed's lawyer Kaplan discussing Britney's hit and run offense. In the video released by paparazzi site TMZ.com, she is quoted saying "Did it hurt MY car?"
Britney could end up behind bars for up to six months if convicted of the charges. She will not be required to appear in court on October 10th, the date of her arraignment.
