Born in 1981, Collie Buddz is the new up and coming artist of Dance Hall Reggae. He was originally born in New Orleans, Louisiana, but moved to Bermuda at the age of five. In his music, you will often hear him representing Bermy. His first album simply named Collie Buddz, is to be released in May of 2007. He has featured in songs with people like Beyonce, Lil' Flip, and Busta Rhymes. With Beyonce, he made a remix of "Ring the Alarm"; "Tell Me", with Flip; and the remix of "Come Around", with Busta Rhymes. These were also the singles that he had released from his album.

Collie Buddz is often times compared to Sean Paul and Gentleman. They all have the same style and reggae swagger. He is signed with Sony BMG, and was also a part of Harper Digital. Buddz was offered a contract with Interscope, but he turned it down. In Canada, his video is the number one hit, "Come Around." The video is still rotating often on the BET television channel.

Buddz began writing lyrinots at an early age, battling other kids in the playground. People began to notice that he had skills, and this gave him a reputation. From that time on, local sounds of the island were looking to sign him. At age 16, he stepped into a studio for the first time to record. He is well known for his versatile style from Hip Hop to Ragga-Soca; and from upbeat tempos to those that are mellow.

Many believe that he could be the next Sean Paul, especially with their similarity in style, looks, and music. He has proved himself as a talented musician and lyricist. Now, only time will tell us if he will dominate the world of Dance Hall, and live up to the comparisons of Sean Paul and Gentleman.
