How to Decorate a Dorm Room

Not everyone is an interior decorator or knows how to decorate a room. However, decorating a small room like a dorm room can be fun and inexpensive. Dorm rooms can be easy to decorate because there is very little room in dorm rooms and you can't paint the walls or destroy the dorm room. Therefore, you will need some creativity and ingenuity in order to decorate a dorm room. In addition, most college students don't have much money; therefore you might need to budget your money very well in order to decorate a dorm room. It seems as if to decorate a dorm room, you must focus on accenting the room in your favorite colors, since you can't paint the room in your favorite color or colors.

Let's start decorating the dorm room by using throw pillows. If there is a sofa in the dorm room, then please buy two throw pillows for the dorm room. Buy two throw pillows, one for the right side of the sofa and one for the left side of the sofa. This is because balance is very important when decorating any type of room, including a dorm room. In addition, the throw pillows will be comfortable for leaning on while watching television or eating breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It is suggested to choose a color for the throw pillows that reminds you of home. This is because many students who live in a dorm are far from home and they need something that reminds them of their room back home. For example, since I like purple I would buy purple two throw pillows for a sofa in the dorm room. In addition, it might be a good idea to get sheets to bring to the dorm room that are also designed in a color or pattern you like too. The sheets and other bedding can be in the same color as the throw pillows or the color can complement the color of the throw pillows. 

In addition to getting throw pillows and bedding in order to decorate a dorm room, a throw rug might be a nice touch of creativity in a dorm room. For example, I bought a nice rainbow throw rug that would look very nice in a dorm room. This is because if you don't want to have color all over the room than both the throw pillows and the throw rug could show off your colorful personality.
