What do you need to change in your life? Can you even begin to answer that question? If not, that makes it a little harder to actually make changes. Sometimes you see your reflection and see problems you feel need addressed. Until you actually acknowledge whatever the problem is, nothing will change. Unfortunately, most everyone knows a person, maybe in your own family, who is addicted to alcohol. You may want to change them, but until they admit they have a problem, nothing will happen. Identifying the problem and then admitting you need to change will be the only way troubles will go away.

Everyone has bad habits. These habits tend to limit your life. Habits do not take very long to form, perhaps as little as a few weeks. With a little work identifying those habits, you could see a change in a very short time. The first thing you need to do is to figure out why you hang on to certain habits. At a certain point in your life, you made a decision and you have stuck with that since because it's comfortable. Certain decisions will hold you back in certain aspects of your life, even if you are successful in a lot of other ways. You will still not have all that is available to you because of bad habits. Take a minute and analyze why you have been locked into this particular rut for so long.

Sometimes even small changes can cause stress for some. Fear holds us back. It's a lot easier to stay in the comfort zone than do something about your life. Everyone falls prey to this at some point. The ones who are the most successful know what needs changing and proceed to take action.

Certainly do not let what other people think hold you back from making needed changes. It is a natural human reaction to want approval. It does not take a very hard look around to realize that a lot of your daily choices are made based on what you think others will say.
