The year was 1983, the Washington Redskins defeated the Miami Dolphins 27-17 in Super Bowl XVII at Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, CA, U.S. president Ronald Reagan proclaims 1983'"the year of the bible", Return of the Jedi opens up at theaters all across the U.S., the Nintendo Entertainment System goes on sale in Japan and Adam "pacman" Jones is born.

When Adam Jones was growing up, he received the nickname "Pacman" from his grandmother. The reasoning being the nickname is due to the fact that as a kid Pacman would devour his milk similar to the way the pacman video game character would devour his enemies. Pacman grew up in the Atlanta,GA area where he attended West Lake high school. During his senior year of high school. Pacman was selected the conference player of the year. While in high school Pacman was a tri-athlete, he played Football,Basketball and Track.Pacman graduated from West Lake high school and enrolled at West Virgina University.Pacmans major was Athletic Coaching. When Pacman was a freshman he made a total of 11 appearances for WVU. He was a corner back and safety. It was during his sophomore season, where pacman received a second team all-big east conference selection. Pacmans junior year at WVU saw a much more focused and improved Pacman. Pacman led the team in tackles and interceptions. He was promoted to the defensive secondary captain and was named first team all-big east conference. Pacman ended his college career at WVU as a junior so he could be eligible for the NFL draft.

Pacman was the sixth player that was drafted by the Tennessee titans in the 2005 NFL draft. He was the first defensive player drafted that year. It wasn't long before problems started for Pacman, shortly after signing with the titans he missed most of the training camp due to a contract dispute. However, pacman quickly made an impact on the city of Nashville, as he donated money to the city so that the local firefighters and police officers could get new uniforms.
