Michigan's Adventure Amusement Park in Muskegon, Michigan was recognized as "the attraction of the year" by Travel Michigan and the Michigan Hotel, Motel & Resort Association in 2007. As a life long resident of Muskegon County and surrounding areas, I have been a regular visitor for over 50 years. I can recall as a little tike going to the former Deer Park (currently Michigan's Adventure) for a picnic and a day of fun at the petting zoo and the amusement park rides.

If amusement park rides are your idea of a fun time, you definitely will not be disappointed here. Michigan's Adventure has more than 60 rides, plus the WildWater Adventure Park which is Michigan's largest water park. Both parks are combined and included in one price admission.

New in 2008 is going to be the Thunderhawk, Michigan's first suspended looping roller coaster. The steel roller coaster is going to be one of the most thrilling rides here in Michigan. With its loops and twists, flipping dangling feet while it drops 85 feet down at 50 miles an hour, it is sure to be a roller coaster that brings people back to ride again and again.

Don't forget to visit the "Shivering Timbers" while there. This is the ranked as one of the worlds finest wooden roller coasters since its opening in 1998.

Michigan's Adventure is located north of Muskegon and south of Whitehall, along the shores of Lake Michigan. It is only a few miles west of US31 in Muskegon County. It is a 200 mile drive from either Detroit, Michigan or Chicago, Illinois.

Our family visits Michigan's Adventure several times a season. We have purchased season passes for the past few years which have saved us a lot of money. The passes are $85. This does not include the parking cost, however. I see on there website at www.miadventure.com that parking stickers are available for $35.

Michigan's Adventure is a great time for the whole family. Our family ranges from one to seventy-six years of age and we all have a great time here. You can hang out in the water park all day or play on the amusement park rides all day or both.
