Question for Jenna Bush - How Much do You Really Know About Iraq?

On "The Larry King Show", Jenna Bush was asked about her opinion on the war in Iraq. She responded that it is a very complicated situation and she doesn't feel qualified to talk about it. She gave the impression that she really doesn't know what's going on there.

She is a college graduate who has written a book. Her father is president of the United States. He engineered this war. He was the president on 9/11/01 and used this tragedy to convince the Congress, Senate and the American people that this war was necessary. Where has Jenna been? What were the dinner conversations like in the White House? Didn't George Bush converse with his children about the issues of the day? Did they ever question him about his job and his role as president? Is she really ignorant about the war or does she disagree with her father and she can't disclose that?

I find it hard to believe that she can appear on a national talk show and admit ignorance about a war that is claiming the lives of her contemporaries. If she had been born to another family in Texas she could very well be wearing a soldier's uniform and she could be stationed in Iraq. In this scenario, she would not be so quick to admit ignorance.

Is Jenna really serious? Did the men and women serving twenty-hour shifts in Baghdad hear what she said? Did the parents who have buried their sons and daughters after their flag-draped coffins came home hear what she said? I would bet that they did or will soon hear about it.

Did her former sorority sisters hear what she said? Did the young women who had their coming out balls with her hear what she said. Did her friends at the country club hear about it? I suspect they didn't notice.
