There are many different corals that you can pick from. Some of them are soft corals and some of them are hard corals. Soft corals are recommended for people who are new to the hobby and they are wanting to purchase coral for the first time. Hard corals are more for experienced saltwater coral keepers. They will purchase this coral for the colors. Some hard corals are not as hard to take care of as you might think. Hard corals will require more light, filtration and supplements. There are many different types of hard coral to choose from. While the name hard coral can be deceiving, some of the hard corals actually look soft. One type of hard coral you can purchase is the Yellow Bubble Coral.

This coral looks like a large sac of eggs. It also has the appearance of extra large bubble algae. This coral is very decorative and it comes in yellow and few other colors. You can find this coral at your local pet store. I would suggest looking at Petland and Petsmart because they carry very large aquariums with a large supply of hard and soft coral. You will not have any problems finding this coral at your local pet store. You can expect to pay somewhere around twenty dollars for a small piece of Yellow Bubble Coral.

If you want to keep this coral alive and well you will need to keep the salinity around 1.023 to 1.026. You will need to purchase a hydrometer so that you can check the salinity in your tank frequently. You will also want to keep the temperature at around 72 to 78 degrees. You will need to purchase a heater to make sure that the water doesn't get too cold. Coral doesn't do good in water that is under 72 degrees and it will not survive in water that is over 78 degrees as well. You will need to make sure that the fish tank is not located next to windows or heating vents. Set up your light on a timer and leave the light on for around 6 to 8 hours. You will want to make sure that the water is of high quality as well.
