With the Braun 525 watt Power Max Jug Blender model - MX2050WH you will be able to blend all your favorite drinks with complete ease. It is equipped with 5 speeds plus a pulse, and a safety locking system that keeps it from running unless it is properly attached. It has the capability of locking in position for a left or right handed person, and has triangular top so that it can be poured from three different directions. Liquid can be added through certain wholes while it is running, and the sturdy glass jug can mix up to 64 ounces. The motor seems to run very quiet, and the style is simple.

Pros

The Braun Power Max Jug Blender has five speeds that will handle just about anything you could use it for with the added bonus of a pulse feature. The jug is made of a sturdy glass, and it is easy to clean. The locking feature is an added bonus.

Cons

The only issue seems to be with the plastic gears. Plastic obviously is not as sturdy as some other materials, and it is suggested by some that it could break. I have not had this problem personally, but I suppose it is possible. To prevent this from happening, you should make sure that it is secured in the proper position.

Uses

The Braun Power Max Jug Blender can be used for all the basics. Shakes, smoothies, sauces, drinks, etc. The blades have no problem going through ice, fruits, and soft vegetables. Blending liquids and ice is not a problem.

Other Uses

I would not recommend mixing a lot of hard foods in this mixer for fear of the plastic gears. You could try it yourself, but it isn't something I would do very often if at all.

Conclusion

The Braun Power Max Jug Blender is a great blender that will serve the whole family well. Since it holds up to 64 ounces at one time in a sturdy glass container, you can make what you need for the family in one batch instead of multiples. The blender's safety feature keeps children from getting hurt when the jug is not on the stand, and it has a simple design that will fit in with most décor. The motor will not disturb the neighbors, and the price is comparable to its durability. It retails around $50.
