I have been using The Patton U2-2003-UC 20-Inch Velocity Air Circulator for the past two years and still it works fine. Going by the functionality it will no doubt last another couple of years. I run it for almost 17 hours everyday and probably no other fan motor will last this long. This is a treat for $49 and it is worth it. This is the best fan available in this price range and its performance can be compared to even premium fan.
This is designed mainly focusing on the functionality feature with least importance on aesthetic appeal. This is crafted to operate exactly the way it is expected out of the fan. When it runs it puts all the counterpart good looking so called air circulators to shame. This can be operated in 3 different speeds from low to medium to high. The only one hitch is that it makes terrible noise when you turn it to high speed. Once it is in high it starts blowing air something like a mini hurricane with all sound effects. If you can tolerate this aspect, then I would advise you to buy this without any second thoughts. At the same time it is far better than those fans that blow only terrible sound and no air.
