Dave Ramsey is a very well known person around the state of Tennessee.He is a well know financial writer who has been on the new york times best selling list three times and he is a syndicated radio host. Dave Ramsey is a financial guru and a self made millionaire. This was done through hard work and self determination.

Dave Ramsey was raised in the city of Nashville and attended the university of Tennessee.He graduated from the university of Tennessee with a bachelor of science degree in finance and real estate. It was shortly after graduation that he started investing in the real estate foreclose market.A few years later he had a real estate portfolio that was worth more than $5 million.He also had his own brokerage firm,Ramsey investments,INC.It was in the year 1986 that life begin to dramatically change for Dave Ramsey.This is when the tax reform act of 1986 was signed into law.The bank that Dave Ramsey was borrowing money from was sold to a larger bank .The new bank began to look into Dave's finances and demanded immediate payment payment of $1.2 million worth of short-term loans.The problem was he wasn't able to pay the bank,so with no other option,Dave Ramsey was forced to file for bankruptcy.

Those series of events would eventually put Dave Ramsey onto the road to financial success and financial freedom.Dave Ramsey was driven by a number of factors to get his finances and his life back on track.He was mostly driven by his love for god and his wife Sharon.If it were for those two factors he may have never changed his life for the better.Another turning point was his vow to never borrow money again or go into debt.
