I have now written two articles detailing my ten best predictions of 2007 and my ten worst predictions of 2007. The season isn't over yet though so I thought I would come up with ten final predictions. I'll pick the winner in each playoff series, the NLCS MVP, the ALCS MVP and the World Series MVP.

Here it goes...
Chicago Cubs defeat Arizona Diamondbacks
The Arizona Diamondbacks won the first game of the series against the Chicago Cubs 3 - 1 but after the game Eric Byrnes is furious. "Come on guys! This is not the way we play! We got to the playoffs by giving up more runs than we score and we should stick to our strategy!" The Diamondbacks rally behind Eric Byrnes and make sure to give up more runs than they score.

In Game 2 the Diamondbacks pitching staff purposely gives up 11 runs. In Game 3 Eric Byrnes strikes out four times even though the Cubs were trying to intentionally walk him each time. In Game 4 the Arizona outfielders decide to play toss while the Cubs run around the bases. After the Cubs win three games to one Eric Byrnes tells reporters, "we stuck with the strategy that got us this far, I'm not sure why it didn't work."

Colorado Rockies defeat Philadelphia Phillies
After a disappointing Game 1 the Phillies decided to prove just why they are the best offensive team in the National League. In Game 1 the top four batters in the Phillies lineup combined to go 0 for 15. But in Game 2 the Phillies go 1 for 15 instead and Chase Utley only strikes out three times. In Game 3 the top four hitters in the Phillies order go 3 for 15 this time! Chase Utley only strikes out twice!

Finally in Game 4 the Philadelphia Phillies break out the bats. The top four hitters go 27 for 28 (Chase Utley struck out once), hit 11 homeruns and knock in 17 runs. Then the Phillies realize that is their pitching coach pitching to them because they already lost the series 3 - 0.

Takeaways
  • C. C. Sabathia will bean Roger Clemens in the head...three times.
  • Brad Hawpe will become the first player to hit six grand slams and give up seven grand slams.
  • The Cubs are losers.
Did You Know?
Chase Utley was mad that I made fun of him striking out four times in his first playoff game. He attacked me with his baseball bat, but he missed.

David Ortiz's oldest adopted son Darren Oliver (now Darren Ortiz)is five years older than his new daddy.
