The H20 Cafe, on Polk Street in downtown San Francisco, doesn't do anything particular that stands out from other cafes, but nevertheless is a nice little neighborhood stop at which to idle away your time with a tasty beverage at a reasonable price.

It's a fairly small place, having only a few indoor tables. Much of the room is actually dominated by a row of computer terminals, at which you can pay ten cents per minute for internet access (free WiFi is also available to laptop-using customers). It's quite cozy and clean, however, and not being a trendy cafe means that the crowds don't ever seem to get to ridiculous proportions. On a chilly or wet day it's a lovely little nook from which to sit and watch the colorful parade of humanity on Polk Street.

Coffee is very much in the reasonable price range for this area and the quality is decent. Expect to pay $1.25 for a small regular, or $1.50 for a small with a shot of espresso. Blended drinks hover around $2.50, as do the iced coffees and chais. For breakfast munchies you can get a regular bagel with a topping for around $1.50, or a tuna or veggie or egg bagel for $2.75. They also have numerous styles of crepes at around $5.00.

Darn! I thought it was one of those bars where you get to inhale oxygen for 15 minutes at a time! Oh well, it does sound good. I haven't been to San Francisco in the longest time, so I will need to check this out when I get back.
