During my own quest to be a millionaire I have so far managed to eliminate some debt...a few hundred dollars worth...get a raise at my job and also get some badly-needed health insurance. But, I am still far from being a millionaire. Then, as if from a gift from the gods, I noticed CNBC might have the solution: Their series called "The Millionaire Inside".

According to CNBC, this series features "some of the country's best money-makers who have made millions". Well, if anybody could tell me how to become a millionaire, then perhaps these mentors could.

There are different financial pros on each show. In the episode entitled "The Millionaire Inside: Your Guide to Wealth", the top money makers are David Bach (author of "The Automatic Millionaire", real estate expert Barbara Corcoran, "rebel investor" Phil Towne and Loral Langemeier (author of "The Millionaire Maker"). So far, this seems like an able-bodied cast of millionaires who can tell me how it's done.

However, the show is long on inspirational "anyone can become a millionaire" sound bites, but short on details. Bach admonishes people to save at least ten percent of their income and "make it automatic". Corcoran says the secret to real estate is to buy in up-and-coming markets (no kidding). Towne's advice is to "buy stocks you love" and to "buy them on sale" (whatever that means). Langemeier encourages everyone to start their own business and turn it into a "cash machine".
