At first I thought I was losing my mind but some one kindly pointed out to me that it just comes with the job of being pregnant and carries on into the job of being mom. This phenomenon seemed to take a lot from me.
I was constantly trying to remember where I put things our what I was supposed to be doing. Even in the midst of all the confusion I was able to finally see that I needed to do something to fix it or else I really would go crazy.
I started looking for ways to help myself get organized and stay on top of things that I needed to remember to do. I figured that if I could just get the basic down packed that I would be able to deal with everything else as it came.
I started to make list every morning of the things I needed to do that day. Doing this helped me get organized and make sure I put gas in the car and remembered what house I was going to clean.
I got a white board and some dry erase markers so that I could write down appointments or bills that needed to be seen to. I hung it on the wall where I would see it everyday as I passed and I would erase the ones that I was finished with when I remembered to.
I still marvel at the fact that I had a reminder option on my cell phone that I didn't know about. Boy did that make a big difference. I would put in a reminder for appointments or things that needed to be done. I would set the alarm to go off at about the time I planned on getting up in the morning so I would have time to make it where ever it was that I needed to be going or to do what ever it was that I needed to be doing.
I kept a notepad in my bag so that where ever I was I could write something down that was important. I had a pen clipped to it so that I would never have a reason to not write something down. I proved helpful many times when I misplaced my cell phone or that nifty little marker.
