The Weight Loss Transformation of Josh Peck

Star of The Drake and Josh Show

My children love to turn on the Nickelodeon channel when they get home from school each day. I'm usually keeping busy around the house or writing, but recently I've been drawn into The Drake and Josh Show starring Drake Bell and Josh Peck. There were a total of four seasons produced for
 teen viewers.

In the first and second seasons Josh was a very big boy. He was big enough that the ten extra pounds that show up on film was unnoticeable. For a child in his teens, he was dangerously obese. Then by the third season he began to drop the weight off. By the end of the fourth and final season he had lost over 100 pounds.

I have always been a yo-yo with my weight. I'm one of those who will try every "easy" diet, but because of my lack of willpower, I either stay overweight or gain it all back after I lose it. When I see others lose weight, I become curious about how they did it because I want to do the same. I like Josh Peck. He has a very vivacious character about him. So I took some time to learn more about this fun loving guy and how he lost the weight.

Joshua Michael Peck was born on November 10, 1986. He became a child star as an actor and comedian in the late 1990's and early 2000's. He would usually play the chubby, funny kid such as he did on The Drake and Josh Show. I have seen many heavy comedians lose weight, and along with the extra pounds, they would lose their personality and character. Not Josh. He continues to carry his infectious charm even without the weight.

So how did he do it? What made him take control? Josh knows he's a role model for kids. He admits he doesn't understand why, but knows he is, nonetheless. He felt he not only needed to help in the fight against "child obesity", but he also needed to get healthy for his own sake. He states that it should never matter what a person looks like, but health should matter. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to do this on his own. There was no "magic pill" or a special formulated drink like we all hope for. Josh hired a personal trainer and completely changed his eating habits.

Wow, this writer really has read my mind. I feel precisely the same way that I do about Josh Peck, in his television character, and to whom he's spoken to about his weight loss. I would really, really like to see him back on the television already. He's totally an inspirational actor and fitness mogule.

you know josh pecks is a really good and even if he did or didn't lose the weight i would still him for who he is not some actor.for a person.but non of you people no what your saying the comments your leaving are wrong.like 'oh you if you ever fought with drake i bet you would squish him,or i bet you got surgery.and cocaine.'fuck off about it who cares for you.go die if you ever think that you should think before you type because it may back come on you.and he didn't have surgery, you know how i know he didn't because it took him 3 whole years to get all that weight.and if you read his bio or something on him it will tell it.you guys have no talking or telling him what you thought.it hurts and im glad he lost the weight.because i love him who he is.and nothing more then who he is.hes just a person in the inside.but hes an actor on the outside. thank you.

Not trying to be too mean, but if you look at his recent pictures on imdb he does not look healthy. There is a chance he also has a nice diet of cocaine.

This article sucks. Carbs don't make you, fat, sugar doesn't make you fat, even eatign fat doesn't make you fat. It's all about calorie balance. You must burn more than you take in. That's the "secret" to weight loss. You must burn off more calories than you consume. Every 3500 calories equals 1 pound of weight. If you consume 3500 more calories than you take in you gain a pound and visa versa. It doesn't matter where you get the calories (fat, carbs, protein). It is important though to eat the right foods to be healthy while losing/gaining/maintaining weight.
