Recently, I was reading MidWeek, a local weekly newspaper in my area and a weekly publication of The Honolulu Star Bulletin, and I noticed a rather insulting article. It was by conservative pseudo pundit/fake journalist/IRL troll blogger Michelle Malkin.

This brings two issues to my mind. One, the local Media in Hawaii is absurdly biased with a right-leaning twist. And of course, I will eventually get into the reasons for that another time. And two... I never heard of Michelle Malkin. I have a lot of disdain for FOX NEWS personally, so I never knew she was a fill in host for Bill O'Reilly, and upon learning that I knew right then and there her style and what she stands for. But upon even more research I have found out more than I wanted to.

Michelle Malkin was born to presumeably legal immigrant Filipino parents. Born in Philadelphia, and raised in South Jersey. Now, being that I am of partial Filipino ancestry and that I grew up in New York City, there was always a running joke with my Filipino circle of friends regarding those Filipinos in Jersey. Everytime bizarre behavior or just plain sneaky, snide, and catty actions were noticed the excuse was "She/He is a Filipino from Jersey." Laugh out loud and the conversation moved on. Yet she is a rare breed. An ethnic Filipino Conservative (dichotomy #1) woman (dichotomy #2) After attending Parochial ( and continuing to remain Roman Catholic dichotomy #3) high school she attended a generally liberal Oberlin College (dichotomy #4). From there she met her husband, Jesse Malkin, who is a Jew. (dichotomy #5)

Did You Know?
Michelle Malkin is a Filipino Roman Catholic who attended a left/liberal leanigng college and is married to a Jew.
