Show Respect While Working Out at Your Gym

1. Thou shalt take care of gym equipment.
Gym equipment is expensive. There is nothing worse than a person who doesn't take care of this equipment. Every person should wipe down their equipment before and after their workout. Nobody wants to come to a treadmill or and exercise bike and come into contact with your sweat. Take a few extra seconds to wipe the equipment down when finished. If you are on a machine that can be turned off, do so when you are finished with the machine. This will conserve energy and keep the equipment in good working condition.
2. Thou shalt look and smell appropriate.
There is nothing worse than being at the gym and having to look at someone who is dressed in poorly. When you are overweight should shouldn't be displaying your cellulite and stretch marks. Take the time to pick out an outfit that doesn't look like it was chewed on by your dog. Your smell is just as important as your appearance. Take the time to make sure you but on the appropriate hygiene products. None wants to smell your funk while trying to get their workout in.
3. Thou shalt not show off.
The purpose of going to the gym is to get a good workout in. Not shout to the world that you have muscles or that your have a tattoo on your thin body. Spend your time focusing on your workout and not showing off. Don't make loud grunts if you are lifting weights. Don't slam the weights down on the floor as to show off how much you can lift. Also if you are talking at the gym, make sure your conversation is at a reasonable volume level. Some people talk so loud that it appears they want the entire gym to hear their conversation. Depending on your topic, This may come across as arrogant or conceited.
4. Thou shalt show respect.
