Who doesn't love Halloween and all the scariness that comes with it? Why not take some time with the kids-or even your favorite adult-and make some homemade arts and crafts? These bat crafts are just the perfect thing to make your holiday a spook-tacular one! Grab some scissors and paper and have a blast!

Bat Handprint

Materials:
brown or black construction paper, pencil, marker, scissors, glue

First, draw and cut out two feet, a body, and a bats head. You can either draw on the head with markers or use other colored paper to make eyes, nose, and a mouth. Next, use your child's hands to trace two "wings". Cut out both handprints and glue these to the back of the body so they form the bats wings. Glue on head and feet. You're done! These are great for making numerous bats and hanging them in your trees. Also makes a great keepsake of your child's handprint! make sure to write child's name and date on the back somewhere!

Paper Bag Bat

Materials:
paper lunch bag, black paint, crayons, scissors, wiggly eyes(found in craft stores), construction paper, glue

Paint the whole bag black and let dry. On another piece of construction paper, either use black or paint it black, too. Draw and cut out ears, feet, nose, mouth and wings. Glue them onto the paper bag. Attach the wiggly eyes. Voila! Instant bat puppet. Kids love to play pretend with these spooky critters!

Toilet Paper Roll Bat

Materials:
toilet paper roll, glue, scissors, brown construction paper, crayons or markers

On construction paper, trace and cut out a bats head, wings, and feet. Then use the crayons or markers to decorate them as you desire. Glue colored paper around the toilet paper roll, or even leave plain. Glue all the parts to the tube, the head on top, feet on bottom, and wings on the side but from the back, as though the bat is flying. Young children will have a ball doing this project!

Bat Treat Carton

Materials:

Empty half-gallon cardboard milk carton, glue or tape, scissors, black construction paper.
