You could plot out amusing pranks to play on your coworkers.

You could use Adobe Photoshop to superimpose your bosses' heads onto pictures of giant animals and then display them in a Power Point Presentation.

You could stalk your ex boyfriend or ex girlfriend on My Space.

OR

You might simply be able to successfully and enjoyably pass the time with a little music.

Depending on your work setting, you may or may not be able to listen to music out loud but perhaps your employer will allow you to wear headphones from time to time during moments where an Mp3 player would be practical. If they say no, make him or her sit in your chair stuffing envelopes or inputting data or whatever it is you do that has become so mundane for the day, and then ask again.

If they still say no, you could spend this time of excruciating boredom at work searching for a new job. If they say yes, go all out and take this time to celebrate the artistic brilliance of the musical world while simultaneously playing out your deepest dreams to become a rock star.

Better yet, if you by chance are not restrained to a cubicle where everyone in the office can get up close and personal with your business (and your awful singing voice that bears a striking resemblance to the voice of Princess Vespa in the delightful comedic-take-on Star Wars- movie, Spaceballs) perhaps try shutting your office door and let your vocal chords explode with a passion and intensity that you usually only reserve for the shower.

Maybe even hide a miniature microphone in your bottom desk drawer to whip out and sing your heart into when nobody is watching. Standing on top of the desk can be fun too when you are bored at work. Oh, and in the chance that somebody should accidentally walk in and catch you, play it off like this is normal and everyone does it. They'll feel stupid and left out which will strengthen the likelihood of them agreeing to hoister you up while you pretend to sing to the imaginary crowd in a stage dive.

Seemed to be written in jest this is actually a good article. Boredom is normally when you do not use your brain and you have done so to write this article.
