Once thought to be solely a thing of the future, hybrid vehicles now seem to be everywhere. Wherever a person turns there is likely some fuel efficient hybrid vehicle to be found. Of course, many would be hard pressed to say that this is not a good thing, and it is difficult not to be jealous of a vehicle which gets over forty miles to the gallon. However, just because a vehicle is a hybrid does not automatically make it a good car. One of the most prominent and often seen hybrid vehicles is the Toyota Prius, and although it is definitely a good car, perhaps consumers may want to take a second look before deciding to buy.

As can be expected from a vehicle designed for gas mileage, the exterior of the Prius really offers nothing special, it's long design and interesting hatchback make it look far better than the earlier models of the car, and although it does stand out, it is not really a design that is pleasing to most eyes, at least in an excessive manner. The hood of the car still just looks a little funny, and for some reason the rims and tires on the car seem to be way too small to accomplish any real driving. However, outward appearance is simply not the goal of Prius, although it manages to make an acceptable overall presentation.

The Prius doesn't have much in the way of style, but that shouldn't be a deterrent for buyers.

So...how do you really feel? :-) Thanks for the review. I've heard about the awkward sitting in the Prius. The price doesn't seem outlandish to me considering the value on gas, but I've never driven one. I was in a GMC Yukon Hybrid, and I did notice the engine switching in the display, but if my memory serves me correctly, the speed for that truck was on the driver's side panel. The speed in the Prius being in that middle panel is no more distracting to me than switching radio stations, or am I wrong?
