Two people can create a website which has the same domain and looks somewhat the same. These people can change the look of their websites and dramatically change how many sales their website gets. This is because some websites look too cheap and unprofessional. You want your website to look at professional as possible. You don't want three hundred different images and text running all over your web page. You will want to know what looks professional before you create a website and try to make money. The first thing that you want to do is make sure that your text isn't running over your images and vice versa. You don't want to place an image on your website which cuts off half of your text on your website. If you are having a hard time getting your picture on your website without ruining the whole look of the website you will want to resize the image to make it fit correctly in the space provided.
You will want to use text which is easy to read but this doesn't mean you need to make it so big that the neighbors can read the text as well. You won't want text which is any smaller than a size 10 font but you usually wont want any text which is over size 12 font as well. Make sure that people who have a hard time seeing the text will be able to read it. Don't use text which takes a long time to read. Use a basic style text which looks elegant yet isn't going to need to be decoded to read.
When you are typing out all of your text make sure to make the columns narrow. Do not make the columns go the entire length of your screen because it makes it harder to read. If the columns are short and narrow than there is a smooth flow for the people who are reading your information on your website. Do not go overboard about personal facts and do not go on forever about the same information. People will get bored fast so you will want to place some entertaining information on your website.
You will want to make sure that your website is fast. If the website is timing out and doesn't load, people wont wait forever to see the website. Make sure that the website is easy to navigate through without very large buttons which take over the entire page.
