The story of Syphon Filter is back for the continuing adventures of Gabe Logan in the great PSP game Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow. The adventures continue when terrorists are taking control of a nuclear powered US warship and Logan needs to find out what is going on before the regular unprepared and underpowered US navy responds.
Alright, it always boils down to one man fighting to rescue the survivors and save the world but it's a fun concept and a great way to spend some time. Gabe Logan races into action on the PSP fighting a new threat through several linear levels on the PSP. Starting with some quick tutorials to get the controls down you board a naval vessel and figure out what is going on. Aboard the USS Mt. St. Helens you need to try to stop the terrorists before they do something bad with the nuclear power plant of the ship.
Going from a simple boarding and stopping the terrorists with your full arsenal of weapons you go on to saving your fellow comrade and helicopter pilot, will you make it in time? You will fight using the most sophisticated weapons including pistols, sniper rifles and even underwater guns in a whole sequence of underwater fighting. Logan's Shadow brings several new areas to the PSP and even a pretty good multiplayer section as well.
The game continues from there and includes a very good cinematic type of storyline good enough for a movie. You have to fight your way through so many terrorists that you have to use all of your prowess and skills including several new ones added for Logan's Shadow. I have not played other Syphon Filter games but this is a very good story and does include enough background, in game cut scenes with explanations and helpful hints that you can enjoy the story.
